How to update your wii firmware

After checking your wii firmware version as per the guide on how to check your wii version

You might have decided to update it, if you have your wii connected to your wireless network then while still in the menu……

Step 1 : While still in the wii system menu, click the right arrow to progress screens or hit (+) on the remote until you see “wii System Update”
Step 2 : Select “wii system update”
Step 3 : Then yes to connect and update
Step 4 : You will see this progress screen.
Step 5 : Then this message at the end. You now have two optionsa) Check your wii firmware version (how to check your wii version) and stop if this is the version you want to be at.

b) Continue these steps again until you get the message seen in step 6 below.

[Warning!: you should be very aware of which firmware version you wish to be running. If you are following a guide on backing  up

Games from USB then  you want to be running the same verison the tuorial was written in. ]
Step 6 : If you try and update and there are no newer updates you will see this message.
